Addressing Research and Publication Misconduct
Editors, in collaboration with reviewers, are committed to upholding the accuracy and integrity of content published in the Jurnal Sains Farmasi & Klinis. When allegations of misconduct arise, editors will adhere to COPE guidelines, conducting a thorough investigation. If misconduct is confirmed during the editorial or peer-review process, the manuscript will be rejected. If discovered post-publication, the journal will retract the paper, issuing a notice of retraction that details the investigation's findings. Additional penalties for scientific misconduct may include a temporary ban on publishing in the Jurnal Sains Farmasi & Klinis.
All allegations of misconduct will be carefully reviewed by the editorial board to assess their validity and to determine if conflicts of interest exist on the part of those reporting the misconduct. If there is a possibility of scientific misconduct or other significant research irregularities, the corresponding author will be asked to respond on behalf of all co-authors. The editorial board may also involve additional experts, such as statistical reviewers, in the evaluation process. If misconduct is deemed unlikely, the situation may be addressed through clarifications, additional analyses, or corrections published as letters to the editor.
Institutions with which the authors are affiliated are also responsible for investigating allegations of scientific misconduct. Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of published research is a shared responsibility among authors, journals, and institutions. The journal may issue corrections, retractions with replacement, or full retractions of the disputed article to maintain the integrity of the scientific record. Through these actions, the Jurnal Sains Farmasi & Klinis reaffirms its commitment to upholding ethical standards and ensuring the validity of its published content.
